This past April marked Rockwall’s 161st birthday. The city of Rockwall will celebrate its birthday at the Rockwall Founder’s Day Festival. This event takes place on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Harry Myers Park located at 945 E. Washington St.
This outdoor festival that is perfect way to revel the great city of Rockwall and also meet and or hang out with your new homes in Rockwall TX neighbors in the process. Entry and parking at Rockwall Founder’s Day Festival is absolutely free. The event features face painting, great food (regional cuisine, food trucks and festival faves), live music and shopping. There are also plenty of activities for kids including a bounce house maze and bungee trampoline, climbing wall, remote controlled racecar track and zip line.
The country music band Sawyer Brown will be headlining the musical entertainment. They will take the stage starting at 7 p.m. and go until 8:30 p.m. The rest of the musical entertainment lineup is as follows:
- 10 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. – Cole Risner
- 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. – Memphis Soul
- 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Railhead
- 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – The King Bucks
